CREATION PROCESS:

the shape is thrown on the pottery wheel using stoneware clay. once it reaches the leather-hard stage (where it can be easily manipulated while maintaining its shape), it is trimmed, refined to a more precise shape, and additional elements are added. the piece is then fully dried and undergoes the bisque firing. each piece is then glazed and undergoes the final firing - fired at cone 6 (2200°F).
